I’ve learned to protect my face and move when he starts flailing enough. I occasionally sleep on the chaise for a couple hours when he’s just flailing cause otherwise it’s like an earthquake in my bed lol.

The other thing he does is either steal my pillow if he’s asleep first (he uses it as a replacement for me but then will not give it back when he’s sound asleep cause he thinks I’m trying to steal myself) or suck me into a cuddle rip tide. But it’s not a warm and snuggly rip tide, it’s like I find myself being yanked across the bed suddenly and halfway smothered when he squishes me and is too deeply asleep to let go or not suffocate me with his body weight. BEWARE THE RIP TIDE.

You guys probably already know this, but be sure to have lots of extra gas for your generator in case power is out for a long time and the roads are blocked with fallen trees. We ran our fridge with the generator so we could have ice and keep food preserved and a tank of gas doesn't run it for very long, like 12-16 hours if i recall correctly.

Okay so this is interesting. Last night I went to an open mic to meet people, didn't want to play but just watched. A guy played Sunday Morning Coming Down by Johnny Cash. I told him after how that song really means alot to me and he shared similar views but from a different perspective. Anyways he asked what I do. I did the dreaded task of explaining mturk to him. Really told him it's not as cool as it sounds, at least for me because I don't really make much, I see the earnings some of you make and dream of that. He said he's flying to Los Angeles last night but next week he wants to meet for coffee and says he thinks he can find something for me. Seemed to genuinely take an interest with me. Everyone there was so positive and unlike the type of people I'm used to associating with from my past. I asked if he was flying to San fran and he said "every city has a silicon valley" I found this very interesting.

He said email him my resume. I told him it's nothing impressive at all. He said he didnt care email him something. So I'd like to know do any of you especially the christurks or kadauchis (don't want to tag them needlessly) have experience making a resume with mturk tasks on it. I have one put together but I'm not sending it until I feel comfortable. I know I'm trash at scripts and stuff but I have really learned a lot the past year. Growing up I played some computer games but casually I never really learned computers. Recently learned how to type the correct way lol. I'm the type of guy who likes building things from the ground up while having someone I can ask questions when I need to.

Anyways like the turker I am I investigated his company and when I saw his net worth I was very surprised. I really don't want to blow this opportunity and I don't really know what he does yet but I'm eager to find out and I hope he calls me next week. Even if he doesn't I won't be heart broken but I really think this could be the life changing event I really need right now. Any advice on resume or general advice would be appreciated. Also, make sure you are properly venting your generator. My grandmas neighbor had their generator venting towards her window and both my grandmother and aunt got carbon monoxide poisoning and almost died a couple years ago when the power went out here.

 

Yes it did, there is a little survey after the group talk. It felt like it went by really fast thought. just have drink and snacks ready before hand though lol
