    So, I survived my hike yesterday! Personal best for me. @Buntastic and @TurkedOut had to reassure me I wouldn't die about 12 times, and I sent increasingly bizarre text messages as my legs cramped up and did not want to comply with the last couple miles. The desert was a tiny bit brutal, pretty brown this time of year, and then I came upon a crazy grove of Joshua Trees and decided I would make one of them my new boyfriend. OH- and then I found an urn FULL OF ASHES STILL left on the trail...so that was bizarre. I got a little weird to say the least, but I stumbled across the finish line! Now, I'm back to my regularly scheduled work week.
