I mean, I had kinda already assessed this dog wasn't aggresive and he was the dog of a neighboring farmer who "doesn't believe in fences. fences are cruel to dogs."

He was wagging his tail and playful and kept running up to the fence but just shy of me at the time. After the first time, he would come right in if I opened the door (I would OFTEN see him running in the highway if he didnt cut thru the woods to come to our house). I only even knew he was there cause Skeet was going nuts. I seperated them for a bit the first time I caught him, but he was very obviously friendly and lonely. he kept running away to our house over and over and over and we tried to convince the owners to let us foster him/keep him when they commented that they would like to get a new home for him and they would not let us. It did not end well , but he was a chill dude who just needed love and attention that he did not get.

 

Awe! Yeah I figured you're smarter then the average cookie at least! I'm just nervous around stray dogs. The one thing I do know though is no matter the dog it seems as long as you love them, feed them, and bathe them; over enough time they always turn back into loving goofballs.

For such an aggro dog (to strangers anyway), Skeeter is like the stray whisperer. He even got that scared AF goat to come up, cause it wanted to play with him. I think Skeet is just a good judge of character and he knows which strays are cool and which ones are liable to eat me. I like to imagine he was barking, "HEY! WE HAVE FOOD! YOU SEEM SCARED! I HAVE A NICE MOMMY!"

 

You don't usually fix farm dogs.
