He was fixed only because the original person who adopted him got him from a shelter. He lived on a farm, but wasn't a working dog. The daughter who owned him left for college and the entire family just didn't give a shit and called me an abusive dog owner for fencing in my pups. This was the incident where I almost got in trouble because I essentially wouldn't give him back after like the 6th incident of him showing up with injuries and starved and having been gone for DAYS without the owner even caring. We knew the owner well because he ranched on the farm and owned the farm behind us and it was a huge blowout. I was forced to hand the dog back over and he got hit by a car the next week. I was pretty wrecked about it. I knew that as soon as I gave that dog back, something bad would happen again (he had been hit by a car once before too).

Remind me to just flat out lie next time. That truly messed with my head for a good while.

Did I get screened out of this one? I answered some questions about a show and then suddenly 'thank you, your responses have been recorded'...I feel like I made it past an initial screening so not sure if I should submit or not.

 

Trying to do these as a change of pace... No way to make them worth your time though. :/

 

I truly don't understand people sometimes. If you care so little about your pet, then why not accept an offer to rehome him? Super sucks because I know a ton of people here are also going to leave their poor dogs outside during the hurricane that's headed our way as well.

 

Perry used to be like that. He's just too old to really see or hear anything now. He does greet any other dogs that come over to the house like he's the don of the family or something. We let him sniff out the visitor and if he licks their face, then I guess that means they have his blessing or something. THe other dogs all wait on him to see if the new guy checks out. Really weird dynamic going on with my pack.
