    Actually, looks like classic Amazon, set the operating system up so that anything out of the ordinary will brick the device. So you can root, but not change the system with a custom ROM. Looks like all rooting will get me is access to the google play store, which is what I really want. But no ROM upgrades...

    Huh... yeah, getting Play Store access is a big deal on a Kindle though, I'd say. No custom ROMs kinda sucks, hopefully whatever you want to grab from the store is compatible.

    ccleaner then defrag, or defrag then ccleaner....or do they perform the same function (I don't' think so, but who the f knows....not me!)
