I've defnitely had it go both ways. You can honestly never predict what will happen. I kinda knew what I was getting into when I lured Bearnie, cause he was just so sickly. Little dude was wheezing and coughing so much, I didn't think he'd make it the month and I was super depressed and just didn't wanna see the cute little feral bro die. I actually never intended to keep him forever, I was going to re-home him like I did all the other kitties we took in at the time, but Bearnie basically refused to leave and violently reacted to anyone who wanted to keep him that wasn't me. Matt told me, "He will slit his little kitty wrists if you let someone else keep him. I think you have to keep that little guy."

Good call on Matt's part, cause I clearly have a very casual relationship with my boy cats! I don't like them at all! Of course, I then intended to only ever have 1 cat, as I'm not a huge cat person really...then I found myself birthing a little teeny kitten (he got stuck on the way out) and found it was IMPOSSIBLE to let him go anywhere else because he's literally my baby and my stupid girl brain would not let me relinquish the little bro when he was older. Me: I didn't need one cat, I definitely don't need two. My hormonal girl brain: You're his mother, don't you let your child go live with some other a-hole, how do you know he will be properly cared for? Do you want him to have abandonment issues? His cat mom tried to EAT him and you wanna traumatize him again by abandoning him to some other Grinch? Hell naw. This is our baby!

Soooooo, this is how I have 2 little salary suckers on top of Matt's cat and our two dogs.



They are precious tho, so it's all good.
