The Diabolical, Demon Inside, As Above So Below, The Witch, The Axe Murders of Villisca, Veronica (if you don't mind subtitiles), Hush (really good but more suspense than 'scary'), The Strangers, The Boy (not what it looks like, actually good)

The Staircase if you like real life cases.

and if you have other methods, I fully recommend any of the Rob Zombie movies, esp House of 1000 Corpses and Devil's Rejects, but Lords of , is pretty badass too.
