Phew. I had TTS on too so my computer kept just saying Bunny inc. over and over. Poor thing.

 

I just had comcast out ere yesterday for this..... for a month I wasn't showing the 250+ I pay for. After checking everything he digs in the computer and came to the conclusion I am missing some driver that is usually named "lan" something something....he called a coworker that is more familiar with windows and the guy said win10 has been known to do updates and then drivers vanish. They other dude is going to come by on his off time this weekend to look.

They are about 3 inches apart from each other when running the tests. Moving my computer into his location and his into mine results in the same speeds for each computer

I don't care about how my network is set up. I'm trying to figure out why two identical computers are getting 2 entirely different speeds. Regardless of how my network is set up, why the hell would that happen?

They could both be getting 70 mbsp and I wouldn't care. The point is, I feel they should be at least close to the same, since they are identical computers in the same location.

My guess is it's some setting that's different between Windows 10 Home and Pro but I don't know what it is, how to find it, or how to change it. I already checked Auto-Tuning and all of that stuff is identical between the two.

 

Your version of windows doesn't matter.

ok....they how can two identical computers get such drastically different results? I'm gonna look into what @SAJ suggested, because the only real difference is mine has been running windows for a year, and hubby just had to nuke his and reformat two weeks ago.
