So, in summary what we learned is that Canadian teams couldn't build great teams in the pre-cap/dead puck era and then haven't figured out how to build teams in the cap era.

You left so many players out too. The pre-salary cap teams were amazing. I'd also like to add that all those teams won a cup because of their coaching except the Avs who won two in spite of it. Seriously, Marc Crawford and Bob Hartley?!?!?!? I think Crawford is coaching in some European junior league now.
