There was no code. I just put my ID, I didn't even bother emailing them.

 

I thought about that, but I liked the idea of it being a sudden trick or treat, instead of a "Click the button! Now wait for a while, if you don't hear back, you're not lucky!" thing. I dunno, that seems like it takes the fun out of it, though maybe that's just me (I loved the instant reaction posts as soon as people knew they were tricked/treated).

Kadauchi, Chris and I discussed a few different options, but none of them really seemed appealing, or to have the same kind of feel to them. I did these because I enjoyed the reactions and I liked the excitement around it. All the solutions I could come up with would kind of be like phoning it in, and take a lot of the fun out of it. It was never really about the money or winning (at least in my opinion), it was about the chance and excitement and disappointment of it. If you had to install a script for it to work, or if you got a "You didn't win return this" screen, it just wouldn't be as much fun.

 

You could say if the person is going to get the bonus in the hit itself.
