I have no clue why my brain asked itself this question, but what happens to those accounts when someone's parents pass away? If you're just an authorized user wouldn't they be taken off your credit report when they're inevitably closed?

The trades will remain there on your credit report, but will report as closed. So you will still have the dated credit line reporting which helps show that you have a history/length of credit.

From how I understand it as long as one living person is on the credit line the torch can be passed on. In theory if our economy system stays the same a >100 year old credit line would be possible.

I think that you can get the ownership passed to another person?
