Just buy an avocado and plant the pit.

 

My parents used to rent a place that had an avocado tree. We sold our avocados for $$.

 

Sometimes avocado plants will begin growing fruit after they're 3 or 4 years old, others take 15+ years togrow fruit, and some never do. It helps to have several avocado trees growing together to aid with pollination. However, don't expect the fruit to be anything like the avocado that yielded your seed.

 

I don't have time to watch a tree grow. Buy a fully grown tree

If I was honestly in the climate for it, I might. We plan on looking into subsistence farming because we have enough land we can over half suppliment our diet with homegrown veggies. We plan on getting chickens next year for eggs and a goat for goats milk.

 

Personally, I'm a pine tree baroness, thank you very much!

Oh man, just catching up, and so sorry for all this crud. Now I feel even worse about insisting you eat lettuce on a burger.

Getting in now to point out, before @dan effing STARTS with me, that the avocado toast thing is an Australian meme and I AM NOT AUSTRALIAN, so SCREW YOU!

We honestly want to, we just wouldn't be able to make a down payment until we start our career jobs or we would.

 

The thing that gets me about the avocado meme is that I've gotten 4 'cados for 1$ before. You're telling me, I'm fucking broke, because I spent .25 on each 'cado to put half of that on a slice of toast so that I have a healthy breakfast?

 

I posted some of the taxi runs from the other day, but people were busy kvetching about other stuff and didn't notice it mostly lol. It's pretty cool! I actually have to go drop my ring off, cause it's going on first flight yayyy. It'll be pretty cool when my ring (or, the center stone once we get it put in a new setting at least) was on the first flight for the world's largest airplane pew pew. It looks like it's going so slow, but it's going roughly 63 mph here. They got up to 70 knots later and it was bonkers cool. I'll be amped if we can get his dad here for it, cause I imagine it would be pretty excellent to know you raised a kid who had so much to do with such a neat project and actually see it take off.

one time aldi had avocados - 10 for a dollar. There was literally a line outside the store.

They're usually 2 bucks each around here :|. When you catch em on sale, they're like a buck fifty.
