10/20 - Summed Up Saturday!

I wanted to call the last cat I had Senor Meow Meow or Chairman Meow, but I was vetoed. Probably for the best.

 

Anyone have advice on a cheap phone carrier/plan? I technically still have a phone/plan but I know I will be cut off from it soon(even though I paid for my part consistently) and my current phone will probably be blacklisted(I'm sure my dad won't pay the payment on it and I can't since I'm being cut off the line so it wouldn't let me if I wanted to). After my reveal yesterday I've lost my Dad's side of the family entirely(very religious) and that's where my phone plan is.

I am mostly just at places with WiFi so I could get by without much data(even though I currently use 100+ GBs since I have unlimited and never connect to WiFi.

I wouldn't consider project Fi cheap. @DikDik is better off getting one of those resellers that are pretty good. @morweeg might know more dunno

straighttalk sells a refurb iphone SE for $69 if it's still in stock, think it's $130 new. it's what I told @Ana* to use for dolans

figured every plan for most prepaid carriers for unlimited everything is around 50-60$/month data gets throttled after x/gigs per month tho

 

Stuff like Republic wireless, freedom pop, ting, total wireless, and any other cheap ones like that are going to be better if you want to save money.

yeah there is a lot of options I just haven't ever looked into them because I don't pay for my cell plan

 

I might do that. I'm approved for any of their phones.

 

I use Mint Mobile. They use T-Mobile's network. Introductory rate is something like $15/mth + taxes for 2GB data and unlimited call/text. That rate lasts for 3 months. Then after that you can keep the same rate but only if you prepay which is what I do so it's still $15/mth + taxes.

 

After reading all the responses I think I'll do Fi since it wouldn't require any money down(so I don't have to wait until pay day). If I'm smart about connecting to wifi I should be able to get by with it being just the $20 a month and $30 a month on months I leave the house/campus. I'll probably get a pixel 3 with would make my total bill only 50ish a month
