    I was still super self conscious about my weight at the time and she knew. When I went to eat some junk food (after a long hike) she commented that "I thought you were on a diet! Are you sure you should eat that? How else will you lose more weight?"

    I basically died inside right there on the spot.

    Yeah, they are the worst. We don't ever invite them places we are and are basically just polite, but I don't want to alienate Matt with his other friends (who love them)/coworkers he sees every day, so I'm polite. Nobody has ever made me feel so much like I was back in high school so much as an adult as they do. I'd love to punch her right in her pretty little face, lemme tell ya. I mistakenly thought if I kept being nice, they'd eventually stop exlcuding me so much, but yeah, that never happened. Talk about some people I'm not thrilled to have show up to my house and I hope they don't.

    Matt is back at work tommorow, and I get the feeling he may politely tell them not to come. I hope. He's also coincidentally going to be that guy's boss in about a month when they both transition to a new company (still the same project), and it would probably be in that guy's best interest to not piss Matt off.

    It honestly blows my mind with such a large invite list, anyone thought to invite other folks without clearing it or that this was feasible given the fact it's a pot roast party that takes days of prep. I'm not excited to have that polite talk about dinner party etiquette with a few people. I always plan for extra but WTF. There are a few folks I told could bring someone extra, BUT BECAUSE THEY ASKED.
