I just realized there was a subforum for new member intros.. better late than never. My name is Gene and I'm from north east Texas. I started turking because I found out about mturk on the /r/beermoney subreddit. I was an IT professional (software dev) for over 20 years, but became disabled and needed income. The ability to income give life's challenges and working over the internet from home with super flexibility was a huge plus. I found this forum just by googling, because /r/HitsWorthTurkingFor wasn't getting me anywhere, and I needed more info at the time on scripting tools and the mturk platform in general to be effective. It seemed to be the largest/best/uberSexyTurkCrew I could find. I started lurking and getting my feet wet, then eventually an account, and here I be. I've been posting in the daily threads for about a month now and just today cleared 1k hits. I love technology, sports (hockey.. I seen a few of you posting about it, GO STARS), and outdoorsy stuff like camping, canoeing, etc. Feel free to hit me up if you have any questions or I can help anybody out with anything.
