Yeah, I have a lot of food allergies/issues from my GI thing so I usually make some things on the side for Matt or make two similar versions of the dish. Same sauce and meat but different grains/veggies. You could always sneak him V8!

Lol, I mean, Matt is a pretty muscular dude and burns through 3k calories a day easily, if not more, and eats maybe 1/2 pound to 3/4 of meat a day except on meatless monday? Some days it's more , like tacos or something, but other days it's less cause I make protein heavy meals that don't rely completely on meat is all. We made a big effort to reduce meat (not cut it out or anything) in the last year or so and it's gone well! We still eat it with most dinners, just less than before. His doctor said he's never been healthier! You should come to my kitchen sometime! I'll feed ya right!

 

V8s are kind of expensive tbh

 

Perfect starter for a big crock pot full of beef stew. It's the only way I'll eat that nasty stuff lol.

I'm a super picky eater but I've learned to cook well enough that people don't miss the stuff I don't use in cooking. LIke onions... dirty dirty gross onions lol. I will, however, use onion powder.

I recently started cooking with onions after we picked up a bunch from costco. (I have been using mostly onion powder to cook with because I am too lazy to go out and buy a single onion for cooking stuff like curry)

I still think that they are gross raw.. but if you cook them they are great.

Where are you getting your v8 from?! I have to use a lot of liquids cause of my GI thing and while I do a bunch from scratch, I still drink tomato juice and V8 basically every day. It's less than 3 bucks for a bottle at Walmart/Aldi/Target and that's when I don't hoard it on sale.

You've seen my cooking photos! I LOVE MEAT! I also love being healthy and eating balanced meals and not breaking the bank with groceries.
