Even if the data doesn't correct itself IMO "too fast" (except niche circumstances) is still preferable. It gives users the upper benchmark of what MTurk can be. Honestly to most newbies everything looks like poop lol. If you took the honest to god average hourly wages of people on MTurk, including probably 90% of the "good" work on TV, its probably all "garbage". The # of people actively doing work here as if its real & true work is probably very low (which is reflected in all those studies of MTurk that makes researchers tweet about how Amazon is sooo evil to be paying $2/hr on everything).

TV could obviously just auto-track every time of every user who has the script installed and have a huge, gigantic data cache to sift through.. but getting people to sign off on that is kinda loooool worthy. As long as a service is relying on an opt-in model skewing high is probably preferable to low.

Niche circumstances include: scamming, dumb lucky multi-version surveys, paid screeners, etc things that give a "false" ceiling.
