I had my hair very subtle shades of lavender and pastel pink for a year or so and one day (in a teensy Georgia town of like 346), one of the old ladies exclaims, "HONEY! YOU NEED TO TELL YOUR HAIR DRESSER THAT YOUR HAIR IS PINK! IT IS PINK!"

They also sent a delegation to my house when I did not go to the town church and I answered the door in nothing but a knee length shirt that said, "I can't adult today," while covered in chicken nachos that I was scarfing because I was champagne drunk, watching GOT.

Yikes. I literally don't care who believes what, more power to you for finding anything that brings you peace, but I draw the line when people refuse to acknowledge the same in reverse.

I was more than happy to accept all the "thoughts and prayers" and religious stuff that went along with it when my dad died. I genuinely respect and appreciate that stuff. Until a friend's grandmother told me, at his memorial service, that I made the wrong decision by having him cremated, because Jesus won't be able to save him. I was still polite, but noped the fuck out to hide by my best friend who offered me a xanax.

 

I'm decently sure everyone has seen the Blues Brothers, though.
