I don't keep 95% of them, tho obviously Bearnie and Porg were stuck on my heart too much to let go. I've found so many dogs and cats over the years, and I always feel so distressed for them, especially when they seem lost or abandoned and they seem to like me well enough that I figure I may as well be the person to lure them inside. I keep meaning to adopt a puppy, because I've never had a puppy in my life and always desperately wanted one, but I've come home with random dogs repeatedly instead. I've temporarily adopted a few just to buy them time to find a home cause we had a kill shelter down the street from my old apartment and I would feel so sick about it. They stayed with me for a few months and then found homes with other people and I was glad for it. I dunno, I just like being able to do something even if it's not world changing. I went a little bonkers with the kittens at the time but I'm glad I did.

My dad wouldn't let me have a pet growing up, unless you count the snapping turtles and fish. Snapping turtles, what a great pet for a kid desperately wanting to love a creature!
