Actually, I wish I'd thought to use that phrase! He would have found it funny like I just did!

He found out he missed a good day, despite missing two tests. One he made up on lunch today already, the other is a benchmark test that the teacher is giving them at least until Monday to finish.

And there was relatively little homework assigned yesterday, he's basically making up the missed classwork. So he was in a decent mood about that until he tried to step around kids huddling under the covered hallway to take the grass to my car and found out grass is EXTREMELY SLIPPERY and hides DEEP PUDDLES when the rain is hurling itself at record speeds to the Earth.

Okay good, I had a feeling if anyone had a similar sense of humor, it'd be you lol. And what a good kid, caring about school that much. Poor thing didn't deserve to get rewarded for that by falling.

This was pretty brutal, and I don't mind this type of hit. You have to rate a ton of sentences as acceptable or not, and each sentence is presented one word at a time. This isn't one where you click the space bar to advance the next word either, the words advance automatically, so you really can't go any faster. Requires constant attention. Monotonous and repetitive. Pay is just okay.

He cares about school, which is great for me as his mom! His oldest "sister" (non bio, but I helped raise her) was at our house the last two nights. She successfully defended and earned her Ph.D last week, and just yesterday was offered a great postdoc at a university that is about 40 minutes from our house. Which is FREAKING AWESOME since she's been in Wales for the last four years and we miss her.

So, with a sis who has a Ph.D he knows going to college is just something he's doing and getting into a good one is goal #1 right now!
