Internet and networks are down in the office. Instead of sending us home my boss says, “find something productive to do. There’s plenty of spaces to clean.”

..... our office gets cleaned every weekend by the janitors. Everyone is just twiddling their thumbs at their desks.
Boss comes over and stares at me blowing my nose and sneezing “you can help with sorting the conference room closet”

I’ve sorted that closet four times this year. This reminds me of my mom making my brother and I clean our rooms after we’ve done it numerous times because she’s trying to find ways for us to be productive instead of destroying the house just let me use my PTO and go home maaaan.
