Thank you that is what i do. My coating is pretty even. When winter comes i plan on taking the entire coating off and re seasoning the pan.
I think you only do that when you are building the coating to protect the cast iron.
I live in the south I only do that in the winter.

Yeah it took me like 5 minutes once i realized that there was no writing length requirement.
