Haha, don't get me wrong, I absolutely love cats and I was being sincere even if a bit tongue in cheek.

 

I think most of the "cats are cold and unloving" stems from people just not being able to read cat body language as well as dogs.

 

I never had a cat before my current one, and I definitely had a misconception about cats in general until she adopted me. She's extremely loving, and greets me when I come home if the dogs aren't in the way.

 

It seems especially common that people don't realize when a cat is angry and when they shouldn't keep trying to pet it,

or when a cat is playful and play-attacking someone and they get all up in arms like the cat performed a straight up execution

 

True dat!

I just choose to believe that Bearnie is incredibly smart and that’s why he shows me so much affection.

 

Yeah, I've seen way too many stories of "cats are shit, my friend's cat randomly attacked me even though it was purring a second ago as I was petting it."

 

For those of you that use OW, what interval do you use?

I think most of the "cats are cold and unloving" stems from people who either never had a cat or have met cats that had been mistreated by ass hole humans. I can take almost any cat and in time, they will be loving and sweet, because I treat them well. I have had people who hated cats love my cats and become cat people.

I had one cat that used to appear in the dreams of friends of mine and talk to them- different people, over periods of years- the weirdest thing and I would not believe it had it not been that several people mentioned it who lived in different states, in different years. lol

This also applies to small dogs like chihuahuas. A lot of people dislike smaller dogs because they haven't had a good experience with a properly cared for dog.

We have an understanding though. I pet her with my feet once in awhile, remember to feed her the food she likes, and she usually won’t bite me hard enough to break the skin. Usually.

 

Okay, so I finally picked up some Fever-Tree Elderflower Tonic and it's delicious. How did I ever live without it?

 

Granted, some cats are just weirdos.

 

I use 4 until I have busy pandas, and then I have to switch to 6 or I get a bagillion pres.

Running PC at 1, OW at 3, HF on newest hits at 5, and HF on most hits at 120. HF lets you open multiple tabs, so it's good for looking up batches and you don't need it to refresh that often. Just set that tab to Page Size: 100
