    If you turn it off and you don't notice a performance benefit when it's on vs. off anymore, it might be better to turn it off.

    It adds a page reflow, so "technically" it potentially adds time (a likely imperceptible amount, even to the temporally-sensitive) to the whole page + all resources being displayed.

    The difference is that if the CSS styles are missing the cache (like they seemed to before), this script will make the styling load asynchronously, so that you can at least still see the content while one of their HUGE stylesheets finishes downloading/parsing. It moves them to the end of the body, meaning that the body is displayed and scripts can run before the CSS is parsed and applied.

    So it makes the page technically "slower", but makes it so that you can interact with it more quickly (which, from the user's perspective, is "faster").

    That's why I say it's safe to uninstall if you don't notice a performance benefit anymore.
    Or keep it if you don't notice that it's hurting performance.
    But I think they solved that initial issue that Worker had, where it was noticeably slower than WWW for batches.
