I'm gonna attempt to sleep. The Nyquil doesn't seem to be helping with anything sinus related tonight, so I wonder if it'll even put me to sleep. We'll see. See y'all tomorrow sometime.

    1. First off
    2. I will mod edit anyone I feel that needs it. Everyone is also entitled to being human and everyone has off days. The thing that makes it different is when it's not normal for that person. I know most of you people and have edited a lot of posts but if it's just a "bad day" and not a habit, I edit it and it's over. When it's flame baiting and constant I send messages and issue warnings. If it is crazy racist and full of hate speech that I wouldn't repeat on my worst of days I ban and let CT handle it from there.
    3. "I feel like an ass." You have a conscience and that's why. Sure a report instead of a reply would be better but :dunno: I've seen far worse and those members have since got over it.
    4. As far as having "won" well I wouldn't say that. You did get called a Grinch *ouch* but he wrote/typed his own ticket. I don't think CT, I or any other @Moderator is going to let that kind of abuse slide against any member. We try to catch it all but sometimes stuff slips through.
    TL;DR
Take it easy and pray for the mods :p

Search Pandas are too slow compared to grabbing them with the straight GID.

Put Joe in your HF or OW and then add those GID's to PC or HF and start them ahead of the next time they drop. That's what I do. He uses the same ID's. Oh yeah Click Joe Lo wiki and the GID's are in there to add to your collector.

Pro & Con of Search Pandas:
    PRO:
You catch stuff from popular requesters, *IF* the GID changes frequently. (Non-1.12 C-SATS, for example)

    CON:
Anything the requester posts on a regular GID will be too slow. Why? MTurk has to index the posting for a search for it to display. However, the HIT can be grabbed by the GID even while it's in queue by Amazon to be indexed.

    So what's better?

It really depends on the HIT!

If you go for something like Joe Lo's where they are popular, posted at regular times, and the GIDs don't really change; Search pandas will lose most of the time. But if you run a GID based panda for each & every GID, you're going to lose time because you can only request one GID at a time.

So, , has been writing this web+panda something script, talks about it incessantly, links it all the time, and people install it. He claims it was meant only for programmers of major scripts (of which there's what, 5 of here?) despite not having warning.

The other day, a user's browser crashed and she lost all of her scripts. (I'm not mentioning her name because it's NOT her fault... the topic is his bad attitude, not her poor crashing FF.) She asked a specific question about how to turn off a new feature from that script, and instead of answering it, he quoted it and tagged Chris saying, "this is why I shouldn't share my scripts LOL" (or something to that effect). I told him the least he could do is just help her instead of laughing at her. He posted a previous version of the script that fixed her problem, which he could have just done in the first place? If you don't want to help, don't help, you aren't obligated. But to laugh at her? It felt incredibly disgustingly rude when he could have just helped her, which he did easily afterwards. Why be mean? Are we the type of forum to laugh at someone for asking a question? It honestly really pissed me off to think about someone sitting there so frustrated, trying to work, just lost everything, and getting laughed at in response.

Sorry, I think I'll choose empathy over narcissism any day of the week, even if that makes me a Grinch.

To top it off, in the past, Chris said that people who provide scripts should feel obligated to provide some sort of customer service, even if it's a free script, and I publicly disagreed with him. https://turkerhub.com/posts/489596/

Also since everything we say can and inevitably will be used against us in the court of reddit let's go ahead and put a fork in this subject for now and let the dust settle.

I think you are such a kind person and I am sorry that you were called a name. But this is the kind of forum that allows laughing at someone for asking a question. Some people you like have done this. Racial jokes/comments seem to get a pass too...

As long as it's not directed at a person or some form of prejudice, you can say whatever you want.

Yes, but YMMV - It really depends on the moderators. Even expressing that you have anything other than undying love and loyalty about Trump on T_D might get you a ban on that subreddit.
