Ryzen (well all of AMD's chips really) are more secure than intel's stuff.

I'll prob build a ryzen computer when the v2 of ryzen comes out and gpu/ram prices are normalized a bit.

 

That's fantastic! I think I've missed details about your stuff but I'm glad you're moving forward with your career in a way that makes you happy!

Mine was I got taken into a team made of 4 other people. Two are technically my bosses, and two are my peers. My main boss been working with my two peers for 6 and 8 years respectively. They took me on roughly 6 months ago and I was very excited.

Turns out they like to stretch their work out (my peers). I prefer to get shit done. The work structure changes a lot, and thats not a big deal (which is why you guys sometimes see me a lot during the day, or not at all). My problem is that from the start I've had a weird feeling about things. Things were not lining up for me. The first big thing was this monster spreadsheet that is for all our work.

Like a month into learning this new job, my boss built a new spreadsheet. My boss is a pharmacist who self taught himself excel mind you. So he throws Miss Lefty, bright eyed and bushy tailed, at this spreadsheet and says "You in charge!". Miss lefty at first has no fucking idea what she is doing, but does what her boss showed her to do. Lefty has mistakes. Then lefty gets talked to about said mistakes. Lefty stops making as many mistakes and she gets better. Lefty notices that now she is working on this spreadsheet that takes all week to do, and everytime she happens to look at her peers they never really seem to be doing anything. They're looking at facebook, or at their phones. Lefty starts to get mad. Lefty has a breakdown at work and blubbers about how she can't do the spreadsheet in one or two days like boss wants. Boss wises up and splits it between everyone. Lefty is a happy camper!

Work structure changes and now Lefty picks up stuff twice a week! She quickly discovers if she collects SOME of the stuff and comes back, her coworkers can start on it, and have it finished by the time she gets back with the big part of everything and they can all do it together! Suddenly coworkers are not starting work until Lefty gets back with second load. Lefty starts wondering WTF they are doing while she is out collecting everything,. Turns out not very much. Lefty grows despondent and angry, and doesn't know how to tell her boss "Hey dude, these two chicks you love and have worked with for over 6 years are lazy as shit, and I'm getting mad!"

Lefty cries about it on the forums, gets good advice. Goes into meeting and cries a little, but not overmuch. Boss says he will have everyone cross trained and we will all switch out duties so I don't feel this way.

So far not a fucking thing has changed, but I'll give it a week before I flip out again.
