Glad that the dog has a friendly and safe place to stay. He looks like a real beauty and happy that you're watching out for him. I absolutely know where you're coming from. I've lived on a farm in a rural area for 40 years and can't even count how many strays I've taken in and found homes for over the years. I get so aggravated at the lazy ass people who dump these animals. Seems like I get more cats than dogs though. The vet jokingly says that the word is out in the cat world to come to my house. I've had whole litters of kittens dumped off in the ditch, bawling at the top of their lungs because they're not even weaned. Just can't understand how people can do this. I've nursed these animals back to health and either kept them or found homes for them with friends and relatives. I wish these people would realize that pet ownership is a responsibility, and spay or neuter their pets. They could take them to the animal shelter, not ideal I know but better than dumping them out to starve or freeze. This is a real sore spot with me too.
