Yeah i doubted them too in the beginning but man are they fkn handy.... only thing I'll add to the architect topic as a GC is why were 9/10 sets of prints always with things that just wouldn't work ever. Pretty pictures tho.....


Firm believer in they should work in the trades for some years before they set up shop to draw

 

I don't miss it either. Especially the holiday season that lasts for 17 months out of the year and the non-stop christmas music lol.

Probably still too technical for me.

Last year I blocked the waste disposal in our kitchen sink, and literally spent about two hours trying to plunge it out because that was all I knew how to do. Nuh-uh, unblocking was not going to happen.

So, then I spent 20 minutes looking at the pipes running between the two sinks and the waste disposal, figuring out where everything went due to gravity, and very, very cautiously unscrewed the two fittings on either end of that U bit that I figured had to be clogged. Buckets everywhere to catch spillage. I removed the blockage, put the pipe back in, ran water oh so carefully to make sure there were no leaks - success!

I kid you not, I was still bragging about my manliness to my wife and daughter 24 hours later. I was ridiculously proud of myself.
