jk I'm not that crazy of a fan - my love of Garth is more a nostalgia thing. He was my first concert (I was 3), and my mom (who's been gone just about 6 years now) and I used to talk about when he'd come back from retirement and how we could use her traveling dialysis machine to make it so we could go to his concert. She loved him more than I did.

Fun fact, when I saw him at Yankee Stadium, I was on the grass area in front of the stage, and I had an empty seat next to me the whole concert. I firmly believe my mom got to see him with me after all.

Haha... we live in a small town outside of Tulsa. He and Tricia sold their mansion here a while back after his youngest daughter graduated, but they must still own some property around here because he still pops up fairly regularly around town. We have a montly Main St gathering with like food trucks and bands and stuff and they've both shown up before. My husband works for a grocery store so he'd come in to shop pretty often. He's talked to him, said he seemed like a nice guy.
