Yeah schools don't teach kids how to tell their lefts from their rights anymore.

 

It's not like sex ed was really doing anybody any good. I doubt anybody actually learned anything useful in those classes.

Is it really necessary for me to learn the full anatomical detail of a vagina and a penis but not even have hands on practice and demonstration of how to put on a condom? The fumble the first time I put on a condom was pretty amazing

At least I know where the Fallopian tube is, mighty useful information.

 

we got the "hands on" practice. with a gourd. a butternut squash.

 

My 11th grade english teacher took care of that for me...hands on instruction!

Dude! I learned so much in mine! They had us take several years worth and I got solid non biased info on birth control, stis, consent, etc etc etc. Which I realize is not the norm most places sadly. My tennis coach was one of the sex ed teachers and I still fondly remember her painted sex ed tiles, my favorite being the one with condoms that said, "If you're not ready to buy one, you aren't ready for sex!" Haha, not in a way that was meant to say sex is bad, but just the general conversation we had in class about being able to have that conversation with your partner and being adult enough to be prepared and all that and I took that pretty to heart which stopped me from having sex before I was 100% comfortable with it because I remembered the painted condoms wise message and waited till I felt comfortable talking to my boyfriend openly about sex so thank you painted condoms lololol. Sex ed was the bomb, answered so many of my weirdest questions.

My *real* sex ed came from watching the Jenny Jones show and Porky's. Just sayin'

 

I think we had "sex ed" in maybe 6th grade I can't remember anything from it as I think we just giggled the entire time

 

Note: while I enjoyed this for obvious reasons.. I didn't get a code at the end.. I grabbed the direct contact email from the survey and emailed the requester.

Also @Hummingbirdee that gamble I took with the early code and it telling me to submit when it should have just screened me is now approved after the reject got reversed.
