Mine was when the sunlight was halfway down the mountain I had to start heading home. It gave me about 5-10 minutes to get home on my bike from whatever friends house I was at before the sun was completely down.

I remember having a "one way" cable modem. You still dialed in for outgoing, but had cable modem for incoming.
And had to use a huge ass blue ethernet cable. Weren't no "wireless" cable.

 

I loved LORD. Played that game so damn much. About 5 years back I put up a BBS for some of my old friends to play it again.

 

Did you know that you could turn the modem sound off on a lot of modems? That annoying sound that you put the pillow over the modem while you downloaded porn could have just as easily been turned off for some stealth night time fapping.

Also I have used a corded phone.

I don't even know what that is...

The desktop client that AOL had later down the line was SOOO bad...
