OK, I'm still very new to this so I'm pretty ignorant. It's an older model Roku, hooked up to an SD TV. When I tried it with the wireless computer it did lossless music no problem, but I noticed it stuttered a lot with 1080p video, so I assumed it had to do with the Internet connection. The funny(?) thing is, the converter box/PVR/"media" player I have hooked up to the same TV played the same video with no problems. I could just keep using that, but the whole point of this HTPC was not having to keep using removable media across several devices.

For what it's worth, this is the computer I'm using. It actually does a pretty decent job, but I suspect that the hard drive is about to go kaput soon, and I'm probably going to need a newer video card.

If it is an older roku it is having to reencode or transcode it to 480p for your TV. or w/e SD is. Either that or wifi is bad..
