We were house sitting once, and they had lines of these creepy tiny clown figurines and shit on a shelf facing the bed. I had to turn them around because I couldn't sleep with all their little eyes on me.

 

House sitting always seems weird to me. If I'm house sitting for you, then who's watching my house? Also, I don't think I could ever trust someone to house sit for me because I'd be worried they'd fuck all over my house.

 

We were taking care of the cows and chickens and shit for then. Didn't really need anyone to watch my apartment and Matt was living at the airport at the time. We were also looking at leasing the property after them for our cows and cohabitation in the house (which we did a couple months later), so it was basically a test run when they were out of town.

 

People who usually hire housesitters actually have things worth stealing, I think. Or pets that need taking care of.
