I caught another and got captcha-ed on my third during the pins.

 

The bar should pop open a new tab with it, or from the extension popup.

v1.20.1 = no bar
v1.20.8 = bar

 

according to my extensions manager, I'm on v1.20.8, but clicking on the bar does nothing.

weird, apparently I got updated within the last hour, so the page I had checked on most recently hadn't been refreshed. So it wasn't working, but it is working on all tabs that I can refresh....

Alright, that make sense then. The stuff like that works like a tampermonkey userscript, the page has to refresh for the new javascript to be ran. It also breaks the listeners, so the TPE bar/earnings won't update either.
