I appreciate surveys that provide a Back Button.

I'm attentive,™ but sometimes a small slip can lead to doubt: Mayhap I might've "misclicked" one thing on the preceding page. Back-button lets me check to make sure and, if need be, to correct a small innocent oops (instead of leaving it uncorrected, and pleading my case via the end comments or feedback).

Browser tab title displays the number of available jobs — this is a nice little feature from Prolific.

While I'm on a CloudResearch tab or some other, I glance at the Prolific tab's title to see its number.

Although that number (and the available jobs list) doesn't automatically update until Prolific's 2-minute auto-refresh of the page.

(Would a 1-minute auto-refresh client-side script be considered a violation of terms? — I see they prohibit use of "any bots or other programs to automate your use," but I don't know if a simple 1-minute or 30-second auto-refresh would be prohibited as a disallowed automation?)

CloudResearch doesn't put the job count in the tab title. — I might email them to suggest it. Or maybe a script could be written to do it.

Is it usually this slow to get more HITs?

I'm not the expert to comment on this, but I get the impression (from some others' comments) that the best HITs are not so frequently available on MTurk anymore, and the best years of Turking are probably past.

Some folks recommend Prolific and CloudResearch, if you can get into those. (If you get into those, they recommend filling in as much of the "About You" information as you can.) — I'd expect nights and weekends to be slow there too (although time-zones and task deployment schedules can can obviously vary; indeed, one new survey came up for me on CR a few minutes ago, after 1:00 AM my local time, 11 AM in the researcher's time zone).

Daily income will probably disappoint, with these easily-accessed work platforms, with many workers competing for a small supply of tasks.
