I've don'e enough of them to be able to say:

They seem to reject around .5-1% of HITs.
About half the time if you email them you'll get a response.
About half of the responses will reverse a rejection, the other half will be a nice message that says haha sorry, our bad, but we won't reverse.

A good batch probably pays $4.25 an hour, if you get lucky and it's not hot garbage transcriptions. Bad batches pay <$2.

Even if you're the sort of person who would rather earn any amount of money rather than be a worthless piece of decaying meat, you should still do crowdsurfs instead. Better pay, per hit bonuses, potential weekly bonuses if you do enough HITs and don't get boned on reviews, no rejections, and only temporary blocks if you really tank on the reviewed HITs.
