Real estate is stupid expensive out here and our area does not have a lot of options most of the time. We can either spend a butt load of money or compromise somewhere.

This one place is charming, even if ...very bizarre and old (it does have a new washer and dryer though, what upppp). I mean, it's still nicer than our current apartment and a good area with just stupid nice features. It's also so under budget for us, we could def hire some folks to work on it if we truly didn't want to ourselves, or just knock the place down in the future. We've rented worse and this would significantly decrease our monthly budget so I'd rather live in an old, kinda weird house on a very nice property than keep paying an exorbitant amount for a shitty apartment in building of crazy neighbors lol. Part of it is a money thing, cause the rent is just stupid in this town, and so not worth it.

 

I used to live in a house with a second story that was cut in half, with staircases on each end. You couldn't reach the other side without going down stairs, and up the other set. It was so stupid but so cool
