Oh, me too. I felt like I was getting my shit together when that happened. I would have probably given up if it wasn't for this forum.

 

I used to regularly go over to /r/mturk and tell the newbies to just join one of the forums because staying over there won't allow most people to get past slave wages.

 

That must be why they love you so much

 

There are so many times I start to reach out to certain individuals on /r/rmturk in order to help them. Then I remembered I found this place on my own, there is no reason they couldn't either. (Or any other helpful thing for MTurk)

So I end up concluding they just hate money and like breaking their wrists for small amounts.

Anyways I know that people have come out and admitted that the reason that they are here is because they checked turkerhub out after my shit posts so I don't give a shit what the rest of /r/mturk thinks of me.

 

Yeah I would think that anyone that uses Google search or an equivalent to search mturk related questions (The majority of new turkers I would think) cannot help but stumble upon the forums.

 

Or if they are already on /r/mturk they could read the fucking sidebar... that is what I did and it told me to go to MTG/MTC.

Sweet baby jesus I'm so happy to have witnessed that post live as it happened. I wrote in my journal locked it up in my hope chest at the foot of my bed. The level of accuracy still haunts us all to this day. Some say CT found himself that day, but I know it was us that had found him....

 

I never even got that far, the amount of negativity and rudeness on that sub made it clear it was not a place for me, and that there were probably better sources for information.
