K I'm doing this whole back log of transcriptions for this guy and once I have them typed out in google docs I'm downloading it as plain text (he wants a TXT file). The problem is he wants 1 line of spacing between the paragraphs which is fine until I convert the file once it's in plain text it looks like 2 lines of spacing which he doesn't want

Hmm.. try select all and then when you paste it into the document right click and select "paste as plain text". See if that'll fix it.

This is a shot in the dark, but try highlighting all and actually dragging the text from the doc into notepad.
