Last week of my extended "vacation". Expectations: having quality time & lots of fun. Reality: just spent 2 hours editing my profile pic.

Yeah, Imgur integration is absolute ass on here, had to open your video in Incognito for it to work for some reason.

@ChrisTurk This is terrible customer experience, just completely unacceptable.

 

I didn't just waste an hour+ on this experiment right guys? Right?

NIMH LBC Still a decent amount of tasks up by this requester..they confirmed by mail that it was 5 allowed per batch and that the low approval % came from shoddy/scam work(not Masters crowd).

 

In potentially sad news: just noticed CT disabled emails on the forum (or, more likely, just didn't pay for Google Workspace and it got auto-disabled), which means, among other things, that no one can actually sign up for a new account anymore (I mean they can, but it'll be a very limited account that can't do anything because they can't confirm their email), which probably explains why the forum's been running pretty well in recent days. On the other hand, that + the fact that the TurkerView domain expires in 20 days and hasn't been auto-renewed yet are not very good signs...

 

I have pretty much given up on mturk. It is nothing but pickfu and that turned into nothing but go to this link for seo type reasons and make up some nonsense so you hit the word limit. That takes longer than being worth 10 cents and I despise the charade of it all. I just kept returning them as soon as I opened the HIT and its just a bunch of links.

Prolific keeps me busy for now at least as Connect seems to have fallen off a cliff for me.

There was a bunch of scamming going on with the partial complete/screen system on there that soured me on it a bit. I looked up one the requester names that did one and the name is a staff member for the platform.
