I saw lots of academics unironically like a tweet that was something to the effect of "I see the brightest, most educated people we have to offer continually waste their time arguing with pants-on-head drooling morons & bots on a platform that limits your brilliant brain to 140 characters" and it really helped sum up my experience with MTurk
