the people need to know how we rose up and fought against our administrator oppressor and bored him into manually applying badges to all of us Bowlievers.

 

He's just mad I added his avatar for the future generations of TH'ers to enjoy.

 

Pink bows
In early July 2018, many TurkerHub members changed their avatars to include bows. Most of the updated avatars include one pink bow, although some may be different colors or have more than one bow.

History
References to pink bows have been found at least as far back as November 2017. However, the current plethora of bowed avatars was launched seemingly disconnected from those prior mentions.

Who's responsible?
@ThisPoorGuy, in a moment of boredom one day which he probably now regrets, created a bow in an obscure tweak instigated by @SamAnt and aimed at making @ChrisTurk's life a continuing misery.

For reasons unclear to pretty much the entire planet, this took off and requests for pink bow modified avatars came rolling in thick and fast. @ThisPoorGuy provided quick turnarounds to requests, ably assisted in his nefarious deeds by @Buntastic who also created some avatars.
@CorvusSapiens picked up the slack when bow demand became too great. @lefty handled moving avatars because she is tech savy like that. @A6_Foul_Out was chief bow recruiter & shunner of the nonbowed masses.

Even our great admin, @ChrisTurk joined in the bownanigans.

Is there a bow hierarchy?
There is. Some people have tried to shun anyone without a bow, but this is a friendly forum and, in general, we do not approve of shunning. We just say that anyone without a bow is lame. THOSE WITHOUT BOWS WILL BE SHUNNED.

The hierarchy is:

No bows: messy public
One bow: member of the TurkerHub secret society
Two bows: lord high ruler and demagogue, due all fealty and allegiance
More than two bows: just showing off​
