My girlfriend can't stand my mother (to be fair, my mother is a cranky sue). Thankfully she's in Spain, but it makes traveling to see family an ordeal. My MIL lives with us and while she's a bit lazy and doesn't do her fair share of the cleaning, she's at least relatively pleasant to live with. Her 16 year old son whom she coddles and doesn't make do anything on the other hand...

I read /r/justnomil sometimes when I'm bored and I can totally understand why people would divorce if their spouses family was awful. My exes mom was insane and a drug addict, she was part of the reason I left him. I feel super grateful my husbands mom is normal, stays to herself and doesn't try to interfere, and genuinely likes me. I don't have a relationship with my own mom so it's nice to have that mother figure there.

That subreddit is one of my favorites. Makes me realize that my MIL could be SO much worse. FIL isn't bad, but MIL is a narcissistic ash hole, and is the most frustrating individual ever. That and /r/raisedbynarcissists is another good one.

Hey thanks for responding, I appreciate it. Yea I've found a lot of new hits lately where I need to open a link. window.open(link); works well but it opens a new window, or a new tab, I was just trying to embed the link inside the frame to make it a little easier to work with, especially when multi-tabbing. I've been trying to learn but I still dont quite get all javascripts cross-site security restrictions. A bookmarklet would have been nice but I guess what I'm asking is have you found a solution for this problem where you can open links conveniently?
