    By default charles has the windows proxy turn on launch.

    Disable in proxy --> proxy settings --> windows ---> uncheck 'Enable Windows proxy on launch'

    Basically yeah it is a packet inspector so that you can save an unencrypted copy of your ssl traffic.

    Useful for loads of things but dolans is just looking at malicious advertisements basically.
