I've been Turking for about 6 years. Whenever my timer is running out, I put "Sorry, my timer ran out. Will email code. Thanks." in the Completion Code window or whatever. Then, of course, I go to Dashboard, Today's hits, find the Requester and then Contact Requester, and send the code that way.Out of I'd say, 6- or 7-hundred times of doing this, only once did the requester email me saying they couldn't accept it. It's an invaluable tool as a Turker, and I do my best do not abuse it. But in my experience, requesters are more interested in getting their data, esp. good data, than whether you submitted "in time".
