I don't know why I linked the end of the vid. I'm pretty out of it today.

 

I think it could do well as a long form television series, almost more in a documentary format, as weird as that is to say. It lends itself to episodes, but so much of it is less "here's a story about blank", and more "here's the entire context and history of blank", I think they could cover the material pretty well with a more analytical retelling. Almost an audio book with great visuals, you know?

They could also just focus on the stories, or even take some liberties to make it more in story form.

I think if they wanted to make a true series out of it in such a way that it was more than just a documentary of sorts, like I mentioned, they would have to get creative with the story telling.

It's kind of like trying to make a movie out of a high school world history text book, as much as I enjoyed what I read of it.

 

He always has his border collie, Molly, in the vids. She loves potatoes and carrots.

 

No one would watch it because there aren't enough explosions. Only about 15% of the book itself is interesting from a theatrical standpoint. I certainly wouldn't want to watch a TV series about it.

Fair. You aren't wrong there. I like thinking about things like that, though. I've been amazed at the types of thing streaming networks have pulled off to some success. The game is definitely changing, but you're probably right in that it would be way too low on the general appeal for anyone to really throw money at it though.
