We had that problem for about 5 minutes after my building neighbors with the roach infestation moved out...NOPE NOPE NOPE NOPE.



No more ants, no more roaches. I went nuts and nuked my own place pretty much. They had to fumigate the neighbor's apartment and rip out half the appliances. nope nope nope

At least you're remaining upbeat and chirpy about the situation.

In New Zealand we used to have to deal with weta infestations. Look those up if you want to have nightmares. They're quite harmless, just unattractive. My personal favorites are the giant cave weta which get to the size of a dinner plate, and the alpine tree weta which can freeze solid in winter and then come back to life. You've got to admire an insect which is that much of a real life cryogenic zombie bug.

We get their (far smaller) cousins here. I mean, we get normal crickets too, but there's a ton of cave crickets around my house so those are the ones I see the most.

RIP. At least rollie polies are cute. Yesterday I found one of the big fat millipedes that's dumb enough to come inside where there's no water. Not fun to clean up. Poor guys can't even survive indoors.
