I found out that part of her problem with me is that she doesn't approve of some of my hobbies/things I like because she sees them as "not mature."

Apparently, collecting tacky birds is just not what classy adult women do. I call bullshit to that.

"The Birds, they are just so odd. Don't you want to collect something more mature?"

You don't understand, some of them are wearing funny hats.

 

Old ladies love collecting dumb little bird figurines 'n stuff. She needs to grow up.

bashing people for what they like is so stupid. yes karen, collecting fucking stamps makes you so much more mentally capable, and shows so much more class, taste, and maturity than something representing a bird. i hate people that can't see off their high horse.

 

THANK YOU. I would just rather collect things that make me giggle than things I'm worried about breaking cause they are so fancy. She collects creepy porcelain and china figurines and plates and all that. I say creepy cause some of those things freak me out with their freaky lifeless eyes and personally I find those little naked baby porcelain figurines a little off putting. But, ya know, she likes them so whatever, she can have creepy dead eyed statues of whatever she wants- I will eternally buy more birds and try to pass them off as the same collection of birds I've always had.

And seriously, that hat is amazing. Can anyone really blame me for buying that?! Damn you target and your seasonal bird collectables!
