    Dafuq? How you cook a proper steak or pork chop in a pan without cast iron? Also, nonstick is okay if you buy the cheap ones every year and toss em. They're great for cooking eggs and bacon really quick.

    It doesn't get as hot. It doesn't sear as well either.
    Water and salt. Put it back on the stove for a minute after you rinse it to evaporate the water.

    I actually did that, and weirdly, it worked. don't recommend though because I'm pretty sure that can make it shatter or something.
