Forum experience is the same as every real-life social experience that is run by a 29 yr old ex-broski who doesn't actually want to run a forum he just wants to make neat stuff and have people be chill with each other all day until he can release the next toy. Social capital is the name of the game, a personality gets tagged to that name/avatar combo same as it would "IRL" (whatever that is). Treat this place like a club/bar: girls are the important customer base so don't piss them off, the kool-aid is free because its spiked, and no one has a shot at hooking up with anyone so don't try.

There are folks who drop in to ask the same question plenty, and for the most part they get an answer (sometimes through gritted teeth but an answer all the same) and its mostly because they're chill about it all. The very few times I see questions go unanswered its either 1) legit no one knows the answer or 2) simple oversight, it gets missed in the flow of conversation, so silliness not malice.

But when you start insulting folks (or whining about) answering questions that copacetic relationship starts to break down, and you get hit with answers like mine, and then I have to come in and be like "everybody be nice to each other" even though I'm as guilty as anyone of answering questions like that when they irk my evil side.

Every browser has it's caveats but more than likely they use it at your work because it is easier for Domain admins to control via Active Directory as a lot are not really familiar enough with Edge to lock it down

I see that in TO the requester posted a lengthy comment about his hit. I might pull out my old laptop and do it.

the research center is in Germany.
I googled the name of the researcher and she turned out to be very beautiful, so NOPE.

 

I did that Sven Bugiel hit about a month or so ago. Every time you logged into a site it pops up a window with 4 questions and that's it. I've had no problems with anything I logged into after I was done with the hit. Though I made sure I didn't log into mturk during the hit because I didn't trust it and I changed my password to most of my accounts afterwards.

 

This was actually the first iteration of the site's rule-book. Didn't work for some reason

Random musing: I bought a 'bed in a box' mattress from Signature Sleep, and surprisingly it it really comfortable for the price. Free 2 day shipping from prime too.(After a mishap). I didn't even know they compressed and sold mattresses like that until this purchase. The UPS man really didn't look thrilled when he was bringing the 114lb box up...alone.

Its not gonna stop people from trying to get you to leave the house and drive your friends 8 hours through the I-10 death gauntlet though.

 

Friendly reminder that the 'ignore' function is a thing that exists if someone is getting on your nerves, even if temporarily (sometimes we just need a break, yeah?)
